Our Team

Josh Slaybaugh
Josh Slaybaugh is the President and CEO of Trade Up 1031, Inc., a company dedicated to providing comprehensive due diligence and acquisition services to real estate investors executing a Section 1031 'like-kind' exchange into professionally managed, income producing assets. Josh represents our clients' acquisition interests in investment properties nationwide. He is also an active buyer advisor and real estate investor.

Most recently, he was the acting National Sales Director of DeSanto Realty Group, LLC (Media, Pa.). There, he was responsible for leading DeSanto's nationwide marketing and sales efforts with the NASD broker-dealer and registered representative communities for securitized Tenant-in-Common (TIC) real estate investment offerings.

Previously, Josh was an Associate Vice President of Triple Net Properties, LLC (Santa Ana, Ca.) an industry leader in the TIC arena. At Triple Net, his territory encompassed much of the East Coast, with a focus on the Mid-Atlantic region. His team raised equity for TIC's, REIT's, and LLC real estate offerings from high net worth private investors.

Over the past 10 years, Josh has also acted as an independent financial advisor and investment adviser representative, providing a variety of traded and non-traded securities and insurance products directly to his advisory clientele.

He attended the University of Delaware and currently holds both Series 7 and 66 registrations with FINRA. Additionally, he is an actively licensed insurance agent and real estate salesperson in Pennsylvania. Josh and his wife reside in West Chester, PA with their two children.


Jeff Price
Jeff Price has been actively involved in the financial services sector and the securities industry for over six years. He began his career as a Personal Financial Advisor with American Express Financial Advisors in Philadelphia, PA.  There he worked closely advising his planning clients, both individuals and families, with recommendations for building and diversifying their investment portfolios,   solving insurance needs, and saving strategies for other specific life goals (such as saving for higher education costs.)

During this time Jeff was recuited by a regional insurance and financial planning firm, The Life Financial Group of Douglassville, PA, as a producer and operations officer.  It was at this where when he began to specifically focus on branch office operations, compliance, and staffing.

Jeff then took a post as Operations Manager for Trinity Financial Partners in Wayne, PA, a boutique finanical planning firm catering to high-net worth families of Philadelphia’s “Main Line” area.  He spent four years at Trinity Financial prior to joining Trade Up 1031, Inc. as Chief Operating Officer in May 2007.

Jeff earned his B.S. from Penn State University in 2001. He is currently a Registered Representative with Direct Capital Securities and holds Series 7 & 66 securities licenses. In addition, Jeff maintains a Pennsylvania Life, Accident, & Health insurance license. He is currently working towards the completion the Certified Financial Planner curriculum with Kaplan University.

Jeff resides with his wife and daughter in West Chester, PA.
